Driving Dogs!?

Dogs they drive, its a miracle!

It can happen, it will probably be very common in the future. In New Zealand they have been teaching 3 dogs to drive for the past couple of months. After intense training the dogs have become extremely proficient at driving , soon enough we might actually see animals driving cars in emergency situations.


Do we have anything to fear with animals driving? well I think we do, they said that the dogs are well aware of what they are doing but they are still animals, what about if they get distracted while driving and steer on to the side walk and starts running over pedestrians, cops wont be able to easily stop them.

In  the video that is in the link, it shows the dogs driving. They are strapped down and looks extremely uncomfortable for the animal, they say that dogs enjoy driving but it's not like humans can understand what the animal is thinking. As the world is going right now, I assume that we will soon be able to have dogs driving us around. Whether we want it or not.

A nine year old girl had her Winnie the pooh laptop confiscated after being suspected illegal activities.. What I'm wondering about is, why do nine year olds need laptops?! When i was nine my parents were reluctant to by me a ps2 let alone a computer!plus the fact that being nine I didn't use the computer much, I would rather hang out with my friends than to sit around a screen with nothing to do, I didnt want a computer of my own untill i was in high school and thats when i got it.

At that age I didn't even know what file sharing website were, I think that its insane that kids these days are getting such advanced pieces of technology from such young ages. As we all know, no one spoils their children more than rich people/celebrities. I was watching the news the other day and noticed they were talking about children of celebrities, Siri Cruz has a toy car worth over 30 grand, there are brand new REAL cars that don't even cost that much money, so that leads me to a very important question, are the children in todays society being overly spoiled?

Censoring in China

Since about the beginning of the 2000 era China has been banning video game consoles and games, a friend of mine from China told me that the only games that weren't banned were heavily monitored online pc games. Now just because they were banned didn't mean people weren't still finding a way to obtain them, he claimed that there were only two ways one could go about getting the consoles and games, they could look for them on the black market or go to Hong Kong. The first question I asked him was about the reasoning behind the Chinese government censoring games, now his response was that they wanted to keep out the western culture and have their people buy from their own market, I then went and read an article online that said the government was under pressure from parents that didn't want there kids to waste their lives away on such nonsensical thing items such as video game consoles.

The funniest part of China banning consoles is that they are manufactured over there and sent out to the rest of the world! With the censoring of the consoles, gamers in China have been more PC oriented and thus they see a huge demand for PC games. Sony was able to get the government to sell there PSP with a very small selection on the games they sold. Is China ready to lift the ban on the consoles? well i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Rocal Prank Call

Two Australian Radio hosts made a prank call to the hospital Kate Middleton was staying in for severe morning sickness, hours later one of the nurses allegedly committed suicide. Now one thing that I believe a lot of people are misunderstanding is that the nurse who was found wasn't the nurse who gave away details in the prank call, she transferred the call over to another nurse, yes she could be blamed for not noticing the fakes but so could the other nurse who actually talked to them for a prolonged period of time.

The two radio host who placed the prank call are employed at Austereo radio and have since been pulled of the air. I have been reading many mixed reactions towards these two, some think they should go kill themselves like the nurse did, which also hasn't been ruled a suicide as of yet, police are still investigating. I have read many comments by people saying that they didn't laugh the first time they heard the prank call, which in my opinion i believe is a lie. After hearing the audio recording multiple times I still laugh, I think they are being turned into the villains for doing something that is done everyday, especially by little children, would the people who want these two dead also tell kids to go kill themselves? It is tragic that nurse is dead but blaming these two for it after all they said to her was "Could I speak to Kate please, my granddaughter?". In my honest opinion i think the hospital is just looking for a scapegoat to take the blame for their own screw up and the public is just after them because the beloved Royal family is involved.

For those of you who don't know what If/Then Moments in scripts are when you have two different decisions in your script that lead to two different endings. For example you can have a story about a guy going shopping at a mall, he sees a guy drop his wallet and picks it up, he can then either give it back to the guy or use all the money he finds and buy something nice for himself. This leads to two different endings. In my telling stories in a digital format class we were assigned to do these if/then moments two different times.

Personally i don't mind writing scripts, in fact I actually like doing them, the only thing that is hard about it would be coming up with multiple choices, for fun i would probably never write a script with If/Then moments. In the future i would like to write scripts, even if just for fun because i do enjoy writing Scripts in the standard script format. I would especially like to do it without having to worry about  a due date or a specific length that it needs to be in order to meet the criteria! I think that if you have enough time to make it nice and and be as creative as possible without limitations i believe that turning your ideas into a story can be one of the most fun things that you can do.

Beeyard

A couple of weeks ago my mom went out in the backyard to water her plants, she realised that a log in the yard was attracting an odd amount of bees and came to the conclusion that there must have been some sort of beehive under it! Her suspicions were confirmed a couple of days later when we woke up and discovers it
knocked over with a bunch of honeycombs smashed up around it. I went outside and took a picture of it while constantly being attacked by bees in the process, it was amazing just how many bees had been in it the whole time, they were going back and forth to who knows where. About a year ago that was just an ordinary log, no bees or anything and over the summer the bees had hollowed out the inside and used it as a nest for their honey operation.

The next morning I woke up and looked outside only to realize that the long had been turned facing my door and it was completely empty! There were more honeycomb pieces smashed up around my porch steps and a couple of weak and dead bees that seemed like they were in a fight. I figured that whatever animal had committed this horrible crime of attacking a beehive must have came back to finish the job. The hive may be gone now but recently i have been finding bees in my basement, which has been very annoying.
